The Arctic Circle
Arctic Circle Residency — Svalbard, Norway
A two-week residency in the Arctic Ocean alongside approximately 30 artists, scientists, researchers, writers, and poets, plus 15 crew members. The Path series (I, II, III) — oil sticks and Arctic earth on thermo receipt paper rolls (7000 x 5.7cm) with cast glass sculptures (34.3 x 25.4 x 15.2cm each), installed across Arctic icefields and glaciers. Working in extreme polar conditions, the pieces capture the raw materiality of the landscape while dialoguing with the fragility of frozen geological time.
